I've always wanted to join the U.S military. Which branch is best suited for me?
Ok, I've always wanted to join the military. Honestly, I've always wanted to be an officer. I'm 21 years old and I'm still living with my parents, I have no job and honestly life couldn't get much worse in my opinion. I feel bad because I feel like I've accomplished nothing in my life. I have a year and a half of college under my belt but I just can't go back due to financial reasons. I think now is a good time to do what i wanted to do in the first place and join the military. I want to do something with my life where people can be proud and I won't be treated like a kid anymore by my family. I think there is no better way to do that than serve my country. The problem is I'm not sure which branch is best suited for me. I want to join the branch where I can have educational opportunities to finish my degree and possibly become an officer over time. I like to travel. I really would like to be an aviator but I know you have to be an officer to do that. (so maybe overtime). I'm also interested in some sort of special ops..possibly swcc, seals, rangers etc..The big thing is I do want to serve my country but I also want to have a sense of pride and to make others finally proud instead of feeling like some sort of failure. I plan on talking to a recruiter from every branch within the next week.
