Fire belly newt question?

Aristotle ( The male) Has been swimming over Scurl ( The female) Waving his tail over her face. I've read that this is one of the things males do to try to get the female to lay eggs. They laid eggs a little over a month ago. We only counted about a dosen and 6 maybe 7 babies are in a 10 gallon nursery. Could they lay more eggs this year or are they just playing around?
