Domestic Violence working for FBI?

Here's my question. I was convicted of a Domestic Violence misdeameanor when I was 16. I got in a argueement and fight with my mum and brother. At first I though this record was never hunt me and go away when i turn 18 from what i was told. That is why i took this plea. Come to turn out that it effect my ownership/possesion of firearms through the Lautenberg Law. I found this out when DHS did a backround check on me and it turned up, not on my records but in a local arrest record. They said i could not take the job because I have to carry a firearm at all times, which is actually stated on the website. I'm trying to get it expounged and at same time i just got an interview with the FBI for special agent position. According to their disqualifiers on their website it states no felonies can go through but does not state anywhere about dv misdemeanors. Can anyone verify if I will get through the backround check ok even if I have this on my juvenile record? I am trying to have it expounged but may be too late before they run the backround check..Please comment!
