Do height growth hormone pills really work for teens?

growth hormones are taken by shots, not by pills, you cannot take pills because the acid in your stomach absorbs the hormones and it will not then work properly. My son just started growth hormone therapy yesterday, he had to go through a 4 hr blood test to see 1st if his brain was producing growth hormone, after they found out it was not then he had to have a MRI done of his brain, through the MRI they found out he has an underdeveloped pitutary gland. Now he must take growth hormone shots everyday. The hormones he takes are a protein developed in a lab and are exactly like the hormone that the pitutary gland is suppose to produce. If you think you have a growth hormone problem, you need to see an endocrinologist, they specialize in this area along with some other areas. Also if you do have a growth hormone problem that can effect how soon your body matures such as puberty along with the development of your organs, tissues, teeth, bones and muscles. If you do not have a growth hormone problem you could talk to a doctor about taking them as how body builders and athletes do in order to build their muscles.
