Can a Sony STR-DA2400ES 7.1 A/V reciever upscale 1080i signals to 1080p?
Your receiver upscales signals to 1080p through HDMI or component only. DVI just carries video, so you need to connect optical cable for audio. Remember that with HDMI connection you will get HD sounds from Blu-ray movies, optical cable doesn't have enough bandwith for HD sound formats.
